What it takes to update your listing

Listing details, including photos, must accurately reflect what guests will experience during their stay
Titles and descriptions must be clearly written
The update process may require hosts to visit their space to take photos onsite
Airbnb is committed to clear and balanced standards for the community to make sure hosts are known for great hospitality, and guests are always respectful of hosts and their property. These standards include keeping listings complete and up-to-date. Now more than ever, guests want assurance about what they’ll get once they book on Airbnb.
List accurate and complete details to set the right expectations
To meet our standards, a listing should reflect the true experience guests will have during their stay.
- Listing details are as described: This includes (but is not limited to) providing an accurate address and accurate photos of spaces and features. If you list a swimming pool, for example, it must be available to guests when they arrive.
- Listing details are complete: List enough photos and information to set guest expectations for what’s available in your space. We also ask that you maintain a consistent level of professional polish, including avoiding using symbols like emojis or all caps.
- The host’s identity is confirmed: Hosts provide profile details that assure guests they’re a real person. This includes completing Airbnb’s identity confirmation process.
You may be required to provide photo (or video) proof
For most hosts, our online screening with enhanced signals from guests gives us what we need.
