Its intimate and approachable atmosphere makes this a great place to see art, especially work by talented emerging artists from Africa. It also showcases more established artists, such as El Anatsui, who’s known for making massive-scale glittering tapestry installations out of found materials like bottle tops. Before your visit, check out the events programme. They host a range of talks, private views, and artist walk-throughs. Don’t be intimidated by the term “private view.” These viewing times outside of regular hours are actually open to anyone; you just have to find out when they are.
