This is the side of Charleston most tourists don't ever see! Fantastic authentic soul-food restaurant serving delicious meals non-stop; you get a taste of real family soul food. They have over 1000 Google Reviews. Walk to this place in 6 mins from our cottage.

literally one of the oldest restaurants in Charleston; the founder was the daughter of a slave; the soul food is unpretentious but delicious; literally the best place to eat in Charleston; named America’s classic restaurant by the James Beard Foundation in 2017

35 minutes away in a soul food neighborhood. SOUL.FOOD. Primarily patronized by locals, so you KNOW it's mouth-watering.. Get your cornbread, fried chicken and okra HERE! Open M-F 11am-7pm CLOSED WEEKENDS
