This is a great little park just a mile or two from the home. It's undergoing improvements, but it's got grills and steps into the ocean. It is the best place for a free sunset!

Small little water park where you can swim or have a picnic. No beach, but still a cute little spot to visit for free.

Rowell’s Waterfront Park It has a swimming area and great sunsets also picnic tables This 8-acre, kid- and dog-friendly park along Florida Bay in Key Largo opened as a passive park in 2016. It was closed temporarily for Hurricane Irma, which struck September of 2017, and for the County’s hurricane recovery efforts. On July 3, 2018, Rowell’s reopened as a passive park. The park has picnic tables, benches, a place to swim (at your own risk) and a launch for kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards. Boats and personal watercraft are not allowed. Admission to the park is free. The County is working on a scenic overlook and other plans to renovate the land into a more active park. And, in the future, the park may have to close again temporarily to become a staging site for hurricane marine debris removed from canals. Location: Mile Marker 104.5 on U.S. 1
