It's one of the oldest standing structures in Lee County. It sits atop a Calusa mound. It serves as a major archaeological center, w/ frequent educational programs and tours.

The Mound House is the oldest House on Fort Myers Beach and it is located right around the corner. Located on Estero Bay which is great for fishing and kayaking which you can do right from The Mound House. Must go and check it out!
