Biking or driving out to the end of Davis Islands to watch the sunset is one of my favorite things to do in Tampa. There is a small beach, dog park, places to fish, walk/bike path, and lots of open areas to play in. You can watch the plans take off and land at Peter O' Knight Airport or watch the Thursday night sailing races that take off from the Davis Islands Yacht Club. Thursday nights the yacht club is open to the public and you can even join the crew of one of the boats!

If you want to go on a leisurely stroll or bike ride, then check out Davis Islands . . . the seaplane basin park has a nice trail that wraps around the eastern part and southern tip of the island. There is also a dog park and small beach.
