Lovely trail that is partly on a raised boardwalk through the swamps of Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge. There is one overlook I particularly like where you are out in the center of a sea of tall reeds with only the sound of the blackbirds to "disturb" you.

South Louisiana is a strange place. Get up close and personal with the swamp. Gators and irises and the mythical swamp monster “Rougarou”
