Favorite Place for views
Waterrock Knob
Beautiful view. Short hike. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway
Stop by this beautiful Spot serves as a Methodist retreat and welcomes the public
We take our dogs for a walk around the lake taking in the views, flowers, ducks and geese.
If you only have a few minutes, just next to the main building you will find a walkway with the lake on one side and a beautifully maintained mix of rose bushes on the other
Stop in the conference center to grab a coffee and browse the gift shop
SUNSET. This is the best place we’ve found to see the sunset, up the hill by the cross. You can bring a bottle of wine for a romantic start to your evening
Swim: Also have a pool that for a small fee people not on a retreat can use

About 40 minutes from the cabin is the city of Asheville. It’s eclectic with locals sporting bumper stickers saying “Keep Asheville Weird”
The city has a great art scene. It’s recommended to grab your favorite beverage and grab a seat if you enjoy people watching. And if you are a foodie it will not let you down and is close enough to go to just for dinner. It’s also home to the Biltmore mansion (see separate post)
