Gigantic, beautiful mansion! It's a must-see, especially when decorated for Christmas!
Top visitor attraction for Asheville. Beautiful grounds, wine tasting, restaurants and the grand Biltmore House
Wonderful tour available, gift shops, wine tasting, small ice cream shops or nice restaurants.
People come from all over the country to experience the Biltmore Estate. While it is about an hour from the cabin, have a look at their website and see if you might want to make the trip. It is an enormous estate with guided and unguided tours as well as restaurants, biking trails, and events.
Book your tour especially Christmas & Spring Wear comfortable shoes as walking for hours is a must
Opulence beyond words. Pricey unless you purchase tickets on-line a few weeks before your arrival, but worth the cost of full-fare.
America’s largest home in Asheville. It’s a must see. Will take all day. Check before you go but they used to let you come back the next day free if your ticket entrance time was after 3pm.
The grandest palace in the Americas. Beautiful Museum is a delicious way to participate in the USA history. Winery, restaurants, gardens and hotel are part of the estate.
Yes, it IS a tourist attraction, and yes, it is pricey, and yes, it takes a day or two to visit. BUT - after 40 years living in Asheville, I still have a seasonal pass. If you are only here for a day or two - you don't have time for this. Add an extra day - the gardens are amazing, the art…
Acres of gardens, restaurants, a dairy farm, and a gorgeous house to tour means you can’t see the whole place in a day, but it’s worth a try.
One of the most expensive attractions. A must see that takes at least half a day. We love the special exhibits. The next special attraction is the Christmas display. Awesome.
If you’ve never been there, it’s an absolute must see. It’s breathtaking. Take the day and see it all. Christmas is beautiful but very busy and crowded. Fall is gorgeous and in May they have the Festival of Flowers. Those are my picks. Get tickets in advance.
Biltmore Estate is large (6950.4 acre or 10.86 square miles) private estate and tourist attraction in Asheville, North Carolina. Biltmore House, the main house on the estate, is a Châteauesque-styled mansion built by George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately…
Hailed as the largest home in the USA, it defies description. You simply have to take a tour to really experience it. Wonderful for art, culture and history buffs.
World famous mansion (Largest Home in America) on 7,000 acre estate. Six miles away.
Worth the day trip! The self guided tour is so interesting! Highly recommend visiting here around Christmas time
A must do when in Asheville. Visit the largest private residence in the country and try the great food and wine. Biltmore wines are available for purchase at the Winery. The food at the Stables Restaurant and Bistro is delicious.
Biltmore Estate is the largest private residence in the United States and was built by George Vanderbilt and opened in 1895. His heirs opened it to the public and people from all over the world come to visit. It encompasses 8,000 acres and has a huge main house, a winery, numerous restaurants,…
The Biltmore is a must see! I have been over 20 times and still have not been able to appreciate every detail. Plan to spend all day here. I'd suggest an audio tour as you walk through the home so you can hear the history of each room at your own pace. Don't forget to save time to check out the…
Exquisite mansion built by George Vanderbilt while he was still a bachelor. Also beautiful gardens and winery.
A must-see, every season. Incredible over the holidays. Book online and in advance to reserve your entry.
History and architecture at its best! Horseback riding, Segway tours , wine tasting and a small animal zoo!

“Sierra Nevada is about 25 minutes away and is well worth the drive. Even if you do not drink it is one of the most impressive and beautiful places. We love the food there and it has an impressive beer selection. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. It feels like you are walking into a castle. We love visiting with friends and family outside. The grounds are gorgeous and if you time it right they have live music playing outside. ”

“Historic underground spa - worth the visit! Also great spot for sunset cocktails on their famous deck. Visiting during the holidays is a must: Gingerbread competition, spiked hot chocolates, massive fireplaces... take an Uber, it's cheaper than parking. ”
