- First, bring a mask. We'll start on the river in front the silver circle sculpture and then weave around Brown University and College Hill, stopping to talk at lookouts, colonial sites, public sculptures, hidden gardens, and, for Crimetown fans, the scene of the "Nightmare on Power Street. " Roger Williams called Rhode Island a "lively experiment." I'll do my best to report how it worked out for Rhode Island and the nation. The walk is just two miles and should take about 2 hours. - Starting at the Arcade in Providence, we'll meet up and get to know each other briefly before heading out. With a bit of light music, we'll begin our tour and check out the constantly rotating art pieces created and distributed by The Avenue Project and AS220. We will be checking out over 40 pieces of art all across the downtown area! We do our best to provide in-depth descriptions of the art and artists, however with pieces changing as frequently as they do, it can be hard to keep up with. Therefore we also take a moment to discuss the piece from an observer's standpoint. The tour leads us down the river walk to check out some of the permanent installations along the waterfront, along Providence's new Pedestrian bridge, and then back downtown for the impressive wall-to-wall murals. - Must love goats is our motto here at Hidden Brook Acres! Come explore the daily happenings on a goat dairy farm. Immerse yourself in the presence of our nigerian dwarf goats, the miniature breed of dairy goat. Goat snuggling is always a big hit with adults and children alike! Come spend some time sitting in the pasture with our herd. Depending on the season we could be on dry lot (dirt paddock) or green grass. Kidding season begins in the spring, book for April/May sessions to snuggle newborn (goat) kids! Our seasoned farmers, as your hosts, will provide you with information on dairy goats and answer all of your questions as you relax within the herd. This experience guarantees time relaxing in a field of goats, observing herd dynamics, an educational Q&A with a knowledgeable goat farmer, and if you choose there are plenty of farm chores for getting your hands dirty! - You get to relax and enjoy the experience of riding a battery powered mountain bike through beautiful country scenes. This is a moderate exercise activity suitable for young and older guests. The 7 speed mountain bikes are equipped with large capacity Li-Ion battery packs that allow both pedal assisted biking (PAS) at 5 different assist levels: from minimal assist all the way up to completely pedal-free cruising. Following the route we’ve planned you'll enjoy some of our quiet country roads, cruising by peaceful apple orchards, working farms with cows and horses out to pasture, lakes and streams, waterfalls and many other country settings.
