My place is in a quiet country village not far from Bodiam Castle. Nearby is the steam railway station for a quick journey to Bodiam and Tenterden. The Great Dixter House and beautiful gardens is situated within a 10 minutes walk from the house. The historic town of Rye with it's art and culture is close by with public transport. The bus stop to Tenterden, Hastings and Rye is just 50 metres away.
Blackthorn is a luxurious retreat for two. Attached to the owner's home, and situated on the edge of Icklesham village, the property lies halfway between the ancient towns of Rye and Hastings. There is a distant view of the sea, and the garden is surrounded by beautiful AONB countryside. The cottage has a private, south facing verandah, and guests are welcome to use the heated, indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub throughout their stay but exclusively between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm.
PEACEFUL COUNTRYSIDE LOCATION WITH DISTANT SEA VIEWS, WOODLAND AND COASTAL WALKS. For guests wishing to escape from it all, I offer discounts on bookings between 7 and 56 nights which will show on your booking request. Located in Crowhurst, three miles from the 1066 historic market town of Battle with Battle Abbey where the Battle of Hastings took place and the coastal towns of Bexhill and Hastings. Crowhurst station enables convenient travel to London and the coast.
