This is a lovely, simple cabin; very quiet, very private. The cabin is 200 yds from a paved road down a dirt drive into a 100 acre conservation area. It is one mile from a small town and 11 miles from Ogunquit Beach and the Maine shore. The cabin is booked from April 19 through August 16. Only 2 week or longer stays can be accomodated after August 19th. SPECIAL DEAL FOR FIRST-LINE RESPONDERS AND THOSE IN NEED.
Come and stay awhile! Unwind and enjoy a relaxing stay in our 1790’s farmhouse with many original features, situated on 120 mostly-wooded acres in southern Maine. Our farm features a commercial maple syrup operation, 200 high bush blueberry plants, a vegetable garden, pumpkin and berry patches, a variety of fruit trees, honeybee hives, miles of old logging roads for walks, skiing/snowshoeing, meandering brook, patio and outdoor fireplace, free-range chickens, and two large rescue farm dogs.
Our home is tucked away off of Washington Street and feels secluded though we are almost in downtown Dover. Our home was built as a warehouse 100 years ago and was converted to a residence about 12 years ago. The apartment has a separate entrance from the rest of the house and has a private deck. The space is light and airy, both rustic and contemporary, with old floors and exposed rafters. We are a short walk to downtown restaurants and bars, and the train to Boston or Portland, Maine.
