The Writer's Cottage is a tiny white house on a country road; vintage, complete, and inspiring. Built in the nineteenth century, it's perfect for a solo traveler or a pair of travelers exploring the Berkshires and the Hudson Valley. If you like rustic buildings, you'll be a fan of the cottage; it's an incredibly cozy time warp. Find an airy loft up narrow enclosed stairs for some extra space. Orchard and lawn outside. Also -- we put three days in between stays.
Large (1500 sq feet), private loft/cabin above a soon-to-open "farm brewery" in historic New Lebanon NY, located minutes from Tanglewood, the Berkshires, Jacobs Pillow, Jiminy Peak, and Albany. The red brick building is the lovingly restored Tilden Schoolhouse from 1867. You will enjoy super-modern amenities in a private, light-filled space, all to yourself. And downstairs is fabulous artisanal beer! We would love to show you around and get your vote for a favorite all-local microbrew.
Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working grass fed beef farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided. Farm tours are also available at any time, there is always a variety of animals to visit with.
