Best of Vienna Walking Tour
Discover Vienna's historic old town on a fun and comprehensive walking tour with me. We leave the big tour groups behind and explore the city in our own small team. Let's make it interactive - there are no dumb questions ;) We start on the banks of the Danube canal to find out why the Romans decided to settled down here of all places. A short walk later we marvel at the impressive tower of St. Stephen's Cathedral while I tell you about its hidden symbolism of numbers. Further highlights on the way include Mozart's apartment, the old Greek quarter, romantic hidden alleys and courtyards, the Spanish Riding School as well as an almost real da Vinci. Upon arrival at the vast Hofburg Palace complex we will finally talk about the rise of the mightiest family in the history of Europe: the Habsburgs. But Vienna's history doesn't stop with the fall of the Habsburgs: where did Hitler speak in front of 200,000 cheering Austrians? And what makes modern-day Vienna the city with the highest standard of living worldwide? While taking in the beauty of the city I will keep you entertained with the best stories about its past and present - plus some questionable jokes! Keep in mind that we finish at Albertinaplatz, not where we met at the beginning.
Explore Hallstatt with a photographer
Together we will discover and explore Hallstatt, probably the most photogenic mountain gem in the Austrian Alps. I was born and raised in this region and I'm quite confident to say that I know every single corner of this village ;) The tour will take at least about 2 hours. We will cover the obvious "touristy" postcard photo spots, but I will also show you some hidden hideaways. I will take pictures and provide between 20-30 edited HI-RES pictures on the same day the tour takes place via Dropbox link. PLEASE NOTE: I'm a licensed tourist guide (certified in accordance with the stipulations of Europen Norm EN 15565:2008) AND photographer, so you get the best of both worlds - a well structured tour about the history & culture of Hallstatt, plus professional pictures. If there is no availibility for the day you want to visit Hallstatt, please get in conctact with me, maybe we can arrange an alternative starting time. Also if you are looking for a proposals/pre-wedding/engagement shooting, just send me a message, I do these kind of shoots on a regular basis and know the best spots for these kind of photos Other things to note Hallstatt is a really small village, so you will definitely will see all parts of it in these approx. two hours tour :)

Hike the Viennese Alps like Freud
This is one of the oldest trails to the Rax mountain plateau. The founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, used to climb the Rax mountain on this trail several times a week. We start our hike on an easy forest road with the Rax massif in front of us. Soon, the road turns into a narrow and steep trail. In the beginning, the path is mostly in the forest, but after gaining some height, we enjoy stunning views into the valley. The last part of the trail is very rocky. After 2 hours we reach the plateau of the Rax mountain, enjoying fantastic views into the surrounding valleys and the neighbouring Schneeberg peak. We take some time to explore the plateau and have a look into the valleys north of the mountain as well. After a well-deserved break at the mountain hut we make our way downhill to the starting point. Duration: approx. 4.5 hours Elevation gain/loss: 1.079m/1064m Lowest point: 779 m Highest point: 1.734 m Distance: approx. 13 km IMPORTANT: please only book this tour if you are an experienced mountain hiker and are familiar with alpine trails. You must have very good physical fitness level. Proper hiking equipment, especially hiking boots are mandatory for participation! Travel time from Vienna to the starting point: approx. 1.5h one way. Free lift to the starting point. Price transparency: The indicated price includes 20% commission for Airbnb.
Half-day Countryside Wine Tour near Wien
We will pick up our guests at selected hotel in Downtown Vienna with our air conditioned minibus. During the 30 minute ride to the Weinviertel Wine Region we briefly tell about the history of Austria and the development of the wine culture in the area. In the Weinviertel we visit 3 small, family owned winery, where we will meet with the owners or their familes and they will make a small presentation about their wines. Since these wineries are usually not available all the time, because they have to do all the works in vineyard as well in the cellar, we have established partnership with 9 wineries in the area and pick 3 for every tour. We are going to taste mostly local white wines, like Grüner Veltliner and Yellow Muscat, along with Austria's favourite red wine, the Zweigelt. At each place we taste 4 glasses of wine, so we prepare with some snacks at each place and at the last winery we complete the experience with dinner. If the conditions allow we also will have the opportunity to see the wine cellar or the production facility. After the tour we take the guests back to Vienna where we picked them up.
Educational walk with a homeless guide
Currently this tour is only operated in GERMAN! Together we will walk along the thin line of poverty and wellfare. We will discuss the topic of homelessness in the most liveable city in the world - while walking through the center of Vienna. This is not a sightseeing tour - this is a tour about life. The content of the tour is homelessness, its challenges and the solutions that the city provides - and I'll share with you my personal insights and experiences of being homeless. You can ask me any question about homelessness that you might have. We will pass places that are related to homelessness and will make you realize the contrasts of the city. We love to educate you! If you are interested in alternative tours and in socio-politics, then you will definitely enjoy this experience. **Please note that the tour is NOT a sight seeing tour and NEITHER visits shelters or expose homeless people. We are affected by homelessness ourselves and we reject social voyeurism, thus neither other homeless people are on display, nor former beds of guides or other homeless people are shown.** The experience will be guided in english OR german (never both languages at the same time), depending on the date you book. Other things to note Wear good shoes and weatherproof clothes :)
