A stylish, superlative bar for those in the know. With its stunning views of the Tokyo Tower, it attracts big-name celebrities as well as well-known figures from the worlds of fashion and entertainment. The bar also has original cocktails, which are crafted with seasonal ingredients in mind, and an exclusive wine cellar next door. I’d recommend going to celebrate an anniversary. You’ll have a wonderful time here, gazing out onto the cityscape at night with the Tokyo Tower right before your very eyes.

Shopping

A world-famous and reputable kimono store, often called upon to provide specialist kimonos for theater productions, films, and advertisements. The materials used for the kimonos are original, and there are lots of items that are one-off creations, never to be repeated. Shito Hisayo produced the costumes for the planned Japanese staging of Michael Jackson’s This Is It before the singer passed away. If you’re lucky, you might run into the designer herself when you visit the store.

Food Scene

An open bar space on the fifth floor of the Ao Building—home to many fashion brands and located in the middle of Aoyama, one of Tokyo’s main fashion districts. It feels like a lounge that they’ve transplanted from a luxury hotel, and it offers a stylish, panoramic view of the city. One of the standout features here is the elegant wood and leather interior decor, which includes tables that are crafted from 50,000-year-old swamp Kauri timber harvested from New Zealand.
