It is my favorite trail to visit with first time visitors to Santa Fe. You can make your loop as short or as long as you want: for example Loop 1,2,3 takes me about 1hr 15 min. This trail is very beginner friendly and not very technical. The Dale Ball Trail system is a 22 mile network of trails in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Located a short distance from downtown Santa Fe, it is the quickest way to get from the city into the mountains. It offers great opportunities for beginners and advanced hikers alike, along with amazing views of both the surrounding. Dogs allowed
