Take a drive up our local mountains. Some of our favorite hikes include Aspen Vista (longer and steep), Bear Wallow (nice circuitous loop near a creek) , and Chamisa Trail (short and sweet)
Just remember, the altitude at the top is 10,000 feet. If you're coming from an area closer to sea level, it will be more challenging.
