The best croissants, hands-down. Fresh bread daily. Travel cakes. Coffee. They opened in the peak of lockdown and lived despite it. Chill, great people, relaxed vibe.

It won't let me delete this but they have unfortunately closed. :( They had amazing donuts and were a great place to play board games and meet people.

Neighborhoods
This is the classic downtown hangout spot. I recommend parking at The Garage Food Hall and exploring from there. TONS of places to eat and cute little shops, great to go to bars too. There's also a bowling place!

This is where you'll find vintage shops, local small businesses, and hippie shops in general. You'll have to drive through a lot of small streets to get there, just be warned.

Castleton is where you go to shop 'till ya drop. The Fashion Mall is a luxury mall, and a few blocks down the street is a regular mall (Castleton Mall) with tons of chain stores and restaurants in between.

Carmel... the city, not the dessert. Roundabouts galore. Carmel is the new booming town. It's pricey to live there and it shows when going to shops there. Nevertheless, they have an amazing library and lots of great cafes and eateries up there.

This is the SE Indy neighborhood, close to my house, and has some great restaurants including a rooftop bar. Most parking is free, and it is super pedestrian-friendly.
