There are lots of restaurants at the Marina, overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Rent a jet ski, visit the cinema or go bowling are activities on offer. Free parking or hop on the No 7 bus opposite and up the road from the house.

Pastel green bikes are available to hire around the City. Cycle along the promenade east to the Marina, the village of Rottingdean and beyond to the cliffside cafe at Saltdean. Or westwards to Shoreham by Sea ( shops and cafes, airport cafe,) and beyond to Worthing. Optional return by train from Seaford, Newhaven, Shoreham and Worthing stations.

Look out for The Komedia, a picture house cinema and venue for music, comedy and performance. So many interesting things to see; check out for the graffiti, and the "Kissing Coppers"! Lots of places to graze, or browse!

Head eastwards and pass the petanque courts, children's playground, the i360, table tennis tables, basketball, beach tennis, stand up paddle board hire, numerous cafes and bars. Head westwards for the expanse of the Hove lawns and the elegant regency squares, Maroccos ice creams and pizzas. Either way sea swimming begins at 6am although the lifeguards are there somewhat later. Dogs are allowed on some sections of the beach as indicated by signage.
