Our favourite Place

We have been annual members of Bedgebury for years. We go all through the year for walks, cycling and picnics. You can take your own bikes or hire on site. Try the Go Ape high wire for both children or adults. At Christmas they have an amazing light display through the Pinetum. Parking is £13 a car but it is well worth the visit and they have a fantastic cafe on site.

We either head to the Old Town or park at Bexhill and walk to Hastings. It is 40 minutes drive or a quick trip on the train. The old town is beautiful with it's old fishing huts and fresh fish. Through out the year there are various festivals. Stop in one of the old pubs or try fish & chips by the sea.

I don't like to tell too many people as I love having the pool to myself, but if you fancy a Spa Day I can personally recommend Knowle Grange. They have a fantastic new retractable building over the pool now which means it is lovely to use even in the colder weather. Only 5 minutes drive. (adults only)

City/town information

Our village is in the town of Tunbridge wells (or 'Royal Tunbridge Wells' as some people like to refer to it). It is the closest town, 5 minutes drive or 3 minutes on the train. It is a town of two halves with the historic Pantiles to the right of the stations to reached walking through the High Street where you will find lots of independent shops, restaurants and cafes and the top of town to the left and up the hill for the shopping centre.

Neighbourhoods

Our little Coach House is on a small development in the centre of Bells Yew Green Village. It is a small community with Lambs Larder general store and the Brecknock Arms pub run by local villagers Zoe & Niall and their family. The pub is the heart of the community and they will make you feel very welcome for pub lunches and Sunday roasts. Opposite is a small trading unit with the Faded Shed (opens weekends) selling beautiful antique furniture from France. There is also a childrens indoor play centre for rainy day activities. A short drive or walk up the hill takes you to the village fo Frant for two more local pubs The George and Abergavenny Arms.
