If you've never had Neapolitan-style pizza, you definitely need to give this a try. It is our favorite pizza of all-time AND the crust is so thin that you don't feel terribly guilty after eating it. Even our foodie friends from NYC think this is the best pizza ever. It's right next door to a huge antiques mall too.

If you like coffee, then you have to stop by AmoCafe! They have coffee brewed just about anyway you want AND it's so delicious. The environment is warm and inviting and the owners (she is from Dubai and he is from Columbia) love to sit and chat with you. It is intended to be a place to relax, talk and meet others. They also serve a variety of pasteries, cakes and crepes. On Saturday evenings they usually have Salsa dancing and/or live music.

Known amongst locals for having the best Mexican food in the area. We have eaten there a couple of times and have found it pretty tasty. The Queso is delicious, but be careful-it's addicting!

Not a bad burger for the price. This place resides in a huge old warehouse between Alinos Pizzeria and the Antique Mall. I love the open cafeteria style seating.

Sun Up serves a tasty Shrimp & Grits for a reasonable price. They also serve a good Cobb Salad. A nice place to eat outside when the weather permits.

If you are looking for local fare or are on a budget, Corine's is the place to go. They serve your standard fare for a fair price. This place is typically packed with regulars and will leave you feeling satisfied and ready for the day ahead.

They also serve salads, sandwiches, hot wings and just about any side you can imagine, including hush puppies, fried pickles and fried okra, if you are looking for southern-style food.

Do not be put off if the line is going out the door. The lines moves quickly and it is SO WORTH IT.

This is our favorite location, but there are also locations in Salisbury and Monroe.

This is a great little gem right here in Troutman. Thursday evenings are Thirsty Thursdays and they have bottles of wine for purchase. It is very reasonable! We usually like to take snacks and meet the neighbors down there with our kiddos. It gives the kids an opporunity to run and the vineyard is beautiful! The do tastings during the day until 5pm.

Sightseeing
Uptown Charlotte is great! The city is so clean and safe. We moved from Portland, OR and find Charlotte to be exceptional by comparison. There are a lot of restaurants, parks and history here. I have taken a segway tour of this downtown are and I cannot recommend it enough. It was a blast! Charlotte is a quiet city on weekends, but it bustles with young professionals during the week. Did you know that Charlotte is 3rd largest banking center in the U.S.?
