hiking

this is an incredible mist shrouded Cliffside out of a Japanese print that is a pretty difficult little short walk off of the Appalachian Trail on the way to Charlie's bunion but well worth it if you have a little bit of extra energy also a great hike on its own just forget Charlie's button you can see it across the holler there

this place has great views it's a medium long hike and the Appalachian Trail is quite rocky and worn down in the Smokies but it's a well worth it

this place is about 1 mi into Greenbrier entrance and there is a Trailhead behind there that goes all the way back to an old steam engine sawmill that's laying in the creek there and you can't miss it it's about 2 miles out right after backcountry campsite 31. also just before Backcountry site 31 is a side trail to the right that goes to a little Cemetery and also the main Fork of that along the stream goes to the Hat Rock which is an interesting hat-shaped Rock

not quite as strenuous hikes

this is the trailhead for a couple of amazing hikes one is very strenuous to the top of Mount Sterling but the other one just along Big Creek you can go as far as you want there's midnight hole a mile and a half up which is an all too popular swimming hole with an amazing rock formation: boulders, anyway nice cool hike not real difficult on an Old Logging Road. at 2 mi on the Big Creek Trail is a waterfall on the opposite side of the creek

this place is easy to get to in a very beautiful area and it has a nice little loop trail that's only about a mile that really showcases a lot of the natural flora and fauna. the trail begins just to the right of the entrance behind the group picnic area. also a good place to have a picnic and cookout and get into a very cold mountain stream if you want to (West Prong of the Little Pigeon River)

the problem with this Trail is the traffic. It gets hard to find a parking spot and very very busy but it's because it's such a beautiful place. Also you can continue on to the top of Mount LeConte if you wish following the llamas up to the lodge bringing the laundry
