If you enjoy good tapas food and want to share the experience with friends this is the best place to eat in the desert. This restaurant is rated one of the best restaurants in LA. Make sure you order by phone for take out or show up early as they do sell out and you may experience long waits.

This is a great place to grab a coffee on your way in or your way out. Breakfast is decent here as they are mindful and have a lot of gluten free and vegetarian options.

You would never guess but this place is amazing for the pho!! Yes I said it for the Pho, the donuts are not bad either. Lam was a military guy that purchased this operation and has a blast talking about his passion pho. Very creative naming convention as it’s quite poetic. Ask him what it means or you can figure it out yourself.

This is another one missed by most tourist, but one to add to your list. The drinks are poured heavy and the food is well seasoned. Always an artistic twist and about the most hip place here in the desert with great decor. One of my favorites!

CLOSED - This place was a little swanky, and a great place to hang a more upscale bar while visiting the desert. The food is to die for here and the drink compliment that as well. This is one of the newest places that is helping refine our desert.

This is a great place to visit, check out the Pioneer Town lodge as they have some cool merch. There is a cool night life with the bowling alley Red Dog Saloon and Pappies and HArriots where you can eat, drink and be merry. There are a few mom and pop shops, my favorite being a general store which is a super cool vintage shop owned by Sarah Tabbs. Who also owns a cool vintage shop on hwy 62 called the Nitty Gritty which is worth checking out.

This is best to do around Sunset. One of my favorite things about Joshua Tree is watching the Chollas glow in the sunset.

So the Barker Dam is one of my go to hikes if I am bringing anyone into the park for the first time. It's a 1 mile loop that you can do fast or take it slow and check out the petroglyphs.

Talk about a view, you can see all the way to the Salton Sea. This is a view point that I stumbled upon this year. I had not had the chance to explore this location and it breathtaking. Please advise this is a popular location throughout the day. So come early or later in the evening.
