Incredible Mediterranean food and vegetarian options. Highly recommend the chickpea fries. They also have a food cart down by the water alongside the Eastern Promenade trail and the marina there -- another great place to visit!

Beautiful Olmstead-designed park across the entire Northeastern height of land of the Portland promenade. Beautiful views across the harbor and up Casco Bay. Awesome spot to hang for the afternoon with a picnic, and the paved trail along the shoreline is a great place for a walk. There's also East End Beach right at the base, a great place to take the dog or go for a quick dip in Casco Bay!

Beautiful local beach hidden away in South Portland. Great place for dog walking (if you don't mind many other dogs) in the early mornings and evenings and fun place to go for a swim. Street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, or a formal beach parking lot on Willow Street. On the north end of the beach is a fun old fort with a long breakwater you can walk to the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse.

Street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, or a formal beach parking lot on Willow Street. On the north end of the beach is a fun old fort with a long breakwater you can walk to the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse.
