The LSU campus, a 35 minute drive from Beauty on the Bayou, is a beautiful place to walk through with grand Live Oaks, famous Indian Mounds, grand architecture and there is always a sporting event going on. LSU was the 2020 Football National champions and also has competitive baseball, basketball, softball and gymnastics teams. The mascot, Mike the tiger, has a state of the art cage, friendly to visitors.
