Glynde Place is situated at the top of the village of Glynde and has commanding views over the Weald and Sussex Downs. The house was built in 1569 by William and Anne Morley, to replace the previous existing family home, from local flint, chalk and Caen stone.

Hawthbush Farm is within walking distance of the Six Bells (30 min) - a lively unpretentious village local run well by hard-working hands-on landlord; small linked bars with interesting bric-a-brac, local pictures and posters, old furniture, cushioned window seats and log fires.

The Gun has an extensive landscaped garden with wooden climbing frames and swings, ideal for children. Famous for its home made traditional pies, seasonal game, and continental specialties.

The former home of Surrealist photographer Lee Miller, it is a must-see and by glorious happenstance is next to our lovely village shop and café. Why not come down for the annual Surrealist Picnic on the August Bank Holiday weekend or the Surrealist cookery courses?
