Thanks to several acres of open grassy meadow, commonly referred to as balds in the Appalachians, spectacular views of the southern Smokies await you at the end of this hike. Andrews Bald is the perfect place to unfold a blanket, relax, and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Although Abrams Falls is only 20 feet high, the large volume of water rushing over the sandstone cliff more than makes up for its lack of height. In fact, Abrams Falls is the most voluminous waterfall in the park, easily making this the most scenic waterfall in the Smokies. As a result, the moderate 5.2-mile roundtrip hike to the waterfall is one of the more popular hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains.

You will need a parking pass to Park anywhere in the National Park.
Parking Tag Basics
Three tag durations are available for purchase for all vehicle sizes and types:
Daily - $5
Weekly - $15
Annual - $40
Parking tags are not replaceable, refundable, transferable, or upgradable.
Each tag is valid for a single vehicle and must include a license plate number matching the vehicle in which it is displayed.

When to dine out
Try to eat at odd times. There were over 10 million visitors to the Smoky Mts. last year. It's busy all the time. That being said, most servers are trying their best, be patient and kind.
