Walk around St Armand's Circle, then follow the sign to Lido beach. It's only a few blocks to the white sands of North Lido Beach. Drive along Ben Franklin Blvd. to South Lido and walk around the tip of the island. There are trails and shade trees along the bay, and a gorgeous view of the pass from the beach. Kayak rentals are available to explore the mangrove tunnels.

White sand beaches, people-watching, volleyball nets, as seen on TV! Often named the #1 Beach in the Country... can be crowded. Adjacent Siesta Key Village has shops, restaurants, and bars. I like the live music and great food at the Blase Cafe.

Any meal at Yoder’s on Bahia Vista, especially the home made pies. There’s a great fresh market adjacent to the restaurant where I buy my fruits and vegetables, and lots of little shops with Amish gifts and furniture. Address: 3434 Bahia Vista St, Sarasota, FL 34239
