Sightseeing
The entrance to drive the Pikes Peak Highway is just across the street from the Sanctuary...you can also take the shuttle up for amazing views of America's mountain and see the brand new visitor's center at the top!!!! Another great option is to take the Cog Railway to the top...this leaves from Manitou
Springs, a 10 minute drive away. OR if you are VERY ambitious you can hike up 13 mile Barr trail to the top (6-10 hours one way!) This is an extremely difficult hike and is only recommended for very experienced hikers.
