This museum was once a working jail and there is so much history crammed within its walls, particularly if you have an interest in learning about the Irish resistance to British rule as many Irish rebels were imprisoned and executed here. Great for history lovers!

Located in the Dublin Mountains, Ticknock is a perfect way to see Dublin from a distance with incredible 360 views. Depending on your ability, the route can take roughly 90 minutes to complete and you can also rent mountain bikes if you are feeling extreme. Only really accessible by car.

From Dublin Zoo to Arás an Uachtaráin (where the President lives!), a trip to this huge park is a must during your stay in Dublin. There are some gorgeous walking/running/cycling trails but watch out for the deer
