I would say this is one of the best beaches on the island, you need to jump in the water at Hamoa to get the true Hana experience.

The crater is an unbelievable site, if you have time, catch the sunset with a bottle of wine and a snack or sunset with coffee and hot chocolate. I would definitely recommend hiking into the crater!

This is the location of one of the largest battles that happened on the island. King Kamehameha defeated the chiefs of maui and went on to unite most of Hawaii under one leader. The stream was said to flow red with blood here in Iao after the battle. A beautiful place to see and learn about hawaiian history on Maui.
