Food scene
To help you live like a local during your stay with us, here are a few of our favorite spots to eat and drink on Maui.
There are so many great options for any type of craving and budget. Keep in mind that a lot of the higher end restaurants located around the island require reservations and book up quickly, we recommend you plan ahead for any restaurants that require a reservation. A lot of places also don't take reservations and seat on a first come first serve basis.
Nalus- A staple here on the south shore.
One of the best breakfast spots on island, also Black Rock Pizza has a reasonable priced breakfast!
Bonsai Betty or the Loco Moco! Local vibe, delicious food and drinks, paired with live music on most evenings.
Outdoor, indoor, and bar seating are all available. No reservations at Nalu's.
Maui Brew Co- locally brewed craft beer served up in an amazing open space, incredible views, paired with good eats.
Happy hour daily 3:30-5:30. No reservations taken at Maui Brew.

and 2463 S Kihei Rd. Not fancy, you order at the counter but the food IS AMAZING. My favorite place.
The fish tacos are WONDERFUL.

Close to condo, not fancy and has outdoor/indoor seating. I like it because it has breakfast specials are the most inexpensive breakfast to eat on Maui, not fantastic but affordable. The specials are listed on a little placard on the table.

A bit of a drive from Kihei, but takes your through the historic town of Paia. It usually is booked up in advance so call to inquire.
Fantastic views but very expensive.

This a beautiful lookout with some of the biggest waves and surfers on Maui! Park up above and watch the surfers and waves first then drive down the hill and park by lifeguard station. Walk to the right to far corner and look down and you will see turtles!
I’ve seen as many as 120 in the beach. I’ve spent hours watching turtles swim in and out and walk up the beach!

Kapalua Coastal Trail

Famous switchback drive along the ocean, will take at least 6 to 8 hours. The drive is pretty gnarly with much of the road only allows one car at a time!

54 S High StGorgeous hiking area with cliff mountains and streams!
Beautiful drive up to Haleakala, with many hiking trails! It can be cold so make sure to take jackets!

This is our favorite beach! Park in the public parking at Mana Kai Resort!!! Snorkeling right if front of hotel. Park is all public in front of hotel. A lot of shade and green grass!
Also, easy place to get in water to snorkel!
You can walk all along beach to Wailea.
