Stone's Throw Farmhouse

Borden is a very small country town, but what is lacks in size in makes up for in community spirit. Borden is a quiet and sleepy but it comes alive during the harvest season when the CBH bins have a steady stream of farmers and road trains delivering tonnes of grain. The Borden Pub is a busy place during this time also and is a great place for a typical hearty pub meal. The Borden General Store provides coffee, lunches and some snacks, as well as being a post office. We are very proud of our magpie entry statements and Magpie Flight Path which has metal sculptures located around the town with local information. However, there is no fuel available in Borden. The closest is Amelup Service Station or Gnowangerup Roadhouse.

Sightseeing
Bluff Knoll has become very popular, so we suggest going mid-week (if possible) to avoid car & people queues.

The Granite Skywalk at Castle Rock can get busy, particularly at the weekends. But it is well worth it. There are great wineries along Porongurup Road as well as Maleeya's Thai Cafe and the Karri-On Bar.

Bremer Bay is a one hour drive and if you want the most stunning beaches in WA (little biased!) then get to Bremer! There is also a great pub, micro brewery, historical Wellstead museum & cafe and the Old Telegraph Station cafe. A great day out.

The Pub Borden is open every day except Sunday from 5pm. A good, honest pub meal and great place to meet the locals.
