Introducing the newest jewel in our crown: The Ravens' Nest opens her Wings to you.
This snug riverside bungalow has everything you need. Relax in your separate bedroom overlooking a waterfall year-round. Cook up a storm in our kitchen. Eat at the dinning room table or out on the deck.

Помещението
This is a simple cabin made with rough-cut wood, inside and out. It sits right on the edge of the wild and scenic White Salmon river. It is intimately imbued with all the natural elements. Open the sliding glass door in either the bedroom or living room and take in the sound of the rushing water. Wildflowers carpet the banks (that were recently lake bottom) in spring. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Ravens' Nest, the Spirit Lodge, and our cabin. Be sure to look up Spirit Lodge if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place.
We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. Also, we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog.

Достъп на гостите
In front of our cabin (next to your Ravens Nest) you’ll see a wooden bench swing over the river that hangs between two giant firs, which we hope you’ll use to enjoy the sights and sounds of the river.
We are located across from Northwestern Park on the White salmon. This is where the kayakers and rafters come out of the river. Picnic tables and grills are available in the park, on the other side of which is a walking path along the river that is the old lake bottom.
We also can show you how to get to the near by waterfall of Big Buck Creek which empties into a cenote-like deep round hole in the stone. Very beautiful, and private.
There are amazing bike trails near by, and it seems we are in the center of many natural attractions.
5 miles to the community of White Salmon with a Harvest Market and many good restaurants. 6 miles to Hood River that has everything you might need.
Luckily, we are in a “banana belt” with orchards and vineyards, that offer lots of fresh produce and many wineries to tour. The Fruit Loop in Hood River is famous in the spring and summer.
We live at the Host House very close by, but it is completely separate. We will greet you kindly, then give you your privacy unless you need us for anything.

Други неща за отбелязване
It's really a timeless slice of heaven here. Come see for yourself!

As historians and archeologists can attest, Native Americans have inhabited this area for at least 13,000 years.
When Lewis and Clark floated down the Columbia River (in 1802) with the Corps of Discovery, it changed Native American’s ancestral habitat forever.
At that time, the Columbia Gorge was home to a wide variety of Tribes all along the banks of the waterways and tributaries that carry glacier flow on down to the Big River itself.
Several years ago, our cabin in front of the Lodge was sitting at the mouth of old Northwestern Lake. 2012 was the year Pacific Corps removed the 100 year old Condit dam, causing the water to move much more quickly, returning itself into the original river bed. The banks are still trying to catch up with the river. When you walk out into the front of our cabin, (where the swing is) you can see below old stumps of the trees that were at the water’s edge a century ago when they put in the dam. Looking up, you might notice the trees are tilting towards the water, instead of standing straight and tall, due to profound land shifts. Because we are situated at the fork where Big Buck Creek joins the White Salmon, this formed an natural eddy that built up only silt and sand creating the unstable bank in front of our cabin. Pacific Corps has tried a number of approaches (unsuccessfully) to keep the embankment from continuing to slide down into the river. For this reason we ask you to use only the marked path to get down to creek and/or river. Two other homes on either side of Big Buck Creek had to be removed; as were two cabins across the way, all due to erosion. A word to the wise . . .
Notably, as a team of specialists worked on the slope in front of the cabin last year, Indian artifacts started showing up. Where you stand as you read these words is a “documented” site where local Natives dwelt (right here) in a tiny village. Originally, it was set under the general vicinity where we felt “inspired” to put our Spirit Lodge. You can see that the Lodge is decorated to honor the departed Natives who once lived here. We feel their spirits every day in this sacred precinct we call home.
We are so privileged to be able to share this magical place with you. Might we suggest you take the time to walk the path we inscribed from our yard (on the north corner) and proceed down to the confluence of the waterways below. Sit in the chairs provided and imagine life here two hundred years ago, if you will

White Salmon, Washington, Съединени щати

This is in a delightful location, a short walk from the kayak and raft take out @ Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there’s nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road. Go horseback riding at the nearby stables. Explore the whole Mt Adams corridor up Hwy 141. So full of “Curious Gorge” sights and sounds plus the exhilarating smell of nothing but Mother Nature’s own perfume. We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cider houses, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing and meandering the paths and back roads of some of the countries most beautiful places.

We are about 12 minutes from downtown White Salmon which is a lovely little mountain town with drop dead gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and some great dining options (Everybody's Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co., Pioneer Pizza, and Feast). In the Summer, stop by Reigleman's Orchard just down the road for incredible berries, peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears. We have a very lovely grocery store--Harvest Market-- which is well stocked (plenty of local ingredients and everything else too). Downtown Hood River is about 15 minutes away.
