This light, comfortable room has been a favorite among guests. . It's located on the second floor of a beautiful Victorian home with elegant yet comfortable furnishings.

For summer visitors, please note the house has no air conditioners. Many fans keep the fresh, Vermont air flowing. Days may be warm even hot but evenings are usually cool.

The kitchen is extraordinary Tall ceilings, oriental carpets and attention to detail make this home visually attractive and charming.

The room is called the Quilt Room because hanging behind the bed is an antique quilt, made in Pennsylvania in the early 1900's.

Located on the 2nd floor near a bathroom, the room has a large closet and chest of drawers.

In 1994 we moved to Vermont from New York City. The anchor for this change--my new job creating a community resource center in Bellows Falls. I directed Parks Place for 21 years My retired husband's anchor was attached to a 38 foot sailboat he kept in the Mediterranean. He sailed much more than I, but we enjoyed wonderful vacations there.

In 1996 we embarked on an odyssey of renovating a white elephant of a huge Victorian house. His creative sense transformed it into something special and beautiful.

I retired in 2015; he died the year before.

The house is furnished with some lovely antiques and some thrift shop specials. Several unique, European finishing touches please guests. We had a terrific time transforming the house over quite a few (sometimes it felt like too many) years.

I travel a great deal visiting my children and grandchildren and friends near and far. At home I enjoy gardening, music, reading, hiking and cooking. Summers always include Maine.

Bellows Falls offers friendly folks, a big screen movie theater in the old opera house, delightful restaurants, a cool cafe and fun shopping.
