Finnerty Vista is a rustic older home with spectacular Skaha Lake & city views. A 2 minute walk to the beach, this home has comfortable simple finishings. This rental offers the upper two floors to guests. Hosts reside in basement suite. Ample parking, central air conditioning, three deck areas, guest BBQ, and shared laundry. Small dogs welcome at $20/nt.Extra persons over 4 charge is $35 nightly. Optional features:

Upper two floors reserved for guests in a contained private suite. Owners reside in the lower basement suite.
This home was built in the 70’s and has a cozy lakeview cottage feel. Recent upgrades include brand new: window package, flooring in living room, furnace, central air conditioning, breakfast bar/work station with USB connections, carbon monoxide/ smoke alarm system, indoor gas fireplace, and optional outdoor gas fire pit (additional charge applies). You arrive onto a 1.4 acre property with ample parking & boat or RV parking (without services for additional charges). The front hallway has ample closet space and this area leads you to the spacious living room with large flatscreen cable tv, central breakfast bar with USB connections, simple furniture, large view windows, & gas fireplace (optional consumable feature for $25 daily). The dining room has a six person large table, two sets of patio doors with access to bbq, lawn furniture, & two side deck areas. The kitchen is complete with a microwave, oven/stove, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, glassware, plates, cutlery, plastic and ceramic cups, dishes, pots/pans, blender, & various dishes and serving plates/bowls.
There is an older three piece bathroom with bathtub and shower on the main floor. There is a two piece bathroom on the upper floor. Bedroom #1 has two twin beds & a set of bunk beds, closet, table with desk lamp, and an outdoor above ground covered deck with a patio table & chairs. Bedroom #2 has a King bed and T.V. We supply shower & beach towels, blankets, toilet paper, & shower/hand soap.
Garbage bags, dish washer tabs, & basic household cleaning items available as well as a vacuum cleaner. There is a shared laundry with hosts and laundry tabs are supplied.
Garbage Day is Tuesday morning. We also have recycling and appreciate guests sorting items. The home is equip with health & safety equipment including first aid kit and fire extinguishers. We are proud to share this house has brand new hard wired smoke & carbon monoxide detectors & fire evacuation maps are posted in main areas. The biggest safety alert we wish to share is the unfenced property so please be attentive and mindful when accessing the yard.
If you are looking for fancy, modern, or high end this is not the Airbnb for you however it is cozy, comfortable, & offers various zones within the house and spacious lakeview yard for you to enjoy. We are also proud to share we are certified by the City of Penticton as a licensed AirBnB meeting all licensing and safety standards and regulations. It has a dated eclectic style enabling guests to relax without worry & enjoy the panoramic Skaha Lakeview.

Finnerty Vista is in it’s fourth year of Airbnb rentals with super host status for it’s reputation as a comfortable property for groups to enjoy in the beautiful Skaha lake area.

Covid 19 updates - please note our cleaning crew uses bleach based disenfectant to ensure your spaces are clean. Cleaners are on hand for your use at anytime during your stay. Social distancing is also addressed with this property & home offer with its 1.4 acres and various indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Guests access the home using the front door & we will have a key available for your use. Guests have access to the full yard. There are various sitting/view areas with a fish pond and optional feature including a propane lit fire bowl ($50 tank). Finnerty vista has quail, deer, small bunny, & a bald eagle who frequently visit the property. There is ample outdoor uncovered parking. Guests have access to the home using either the front door or the two kitchen slider doors. There is plenty of room for bikes, paddle boards, motorcycles, or boats to be stored on property if needed. The marina is just steps away with rentals for paddle boards, seadoos, & boats. There is also a restaurant called Slips in the marina deck overlooking lake. Tickleberries famous ice cream is also available on the beach at the main concession stand.
Bus routes & bike trails are steps away taking you to local shops, wineries, & biking/hiking/rock climbing excursions.

This property has a fantastic view of the lake and area around. The booking price is for the allotted guests. We are open to extra guests, pets, & venue rental upon approval & at an agreed cost.
The property is not fenced and therefore requires extra attention and supervision when it comes to young children & pets.
Extra person charges $35 with groups over 4 persons upon approval. We are pet friendly upon approval & have a $20 per night pet fee. We ask that pets are leashed and cleaned up after.
We offer optional features (due to consumables) including: gas lit indoor fireplace $25 daily and/or propane lit outdoor fire bowl ($50 per propane tank to be filled by host upon request).
Local Bylaws prohibit no noise after 10 pm & pets must be leashes at all times when outside.

3945 Finnerty Road is located in the southern end of Penticton. It is one of Penticton’s finest Lakeview neighbourhoods and is quiet and safe. We are also proud to share the property is on the Ironman running route and easily accessible to Skaha lake swims & Eastside Road cycling trips.
There are many walking, biking, and hiking trails to explore.
Shopping and restaurants are approx. 5-10 min walk. You can head south down Eastside Road along Skaha Lake to go winery touring. Or you can travel north to Naramata, Summerland, Peachland, & Kelowna to explore more Okanagan destination experiences.

Canyon House (18 years) is a custom fir log home with a vineyard, poolside & country setting in Kaleden. Both vacation homes are available for weekly stays and longer rental periods in the off season. Lisa & I love living in the Okanagan valley and are actively involved in tourism, vineyard, fitness, & education fields. We are also avid travellers & most recent “snowbirds in training” having spent our third winter abroad in Ixtapa Mexico.
