Good local pub with great menu; nearby Hemsted Woods is good for dog walks. Pluckley is not far, where you can buy excellent tea and coffee at the Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company

Our local pub and just a very short stroll away, it's the classic, traditional English country pub. Roaring log fires in the winter, garden out the front in summer overlooking the village green, there's a good range of beers and solid pub grub. Built in 1608, it's as you'd expect - snug, cosy and welcoming. Definitely worth booking ahead for food as it's always busy.
