There is free Tybee Island Beach parking directly along Hwy 80 on both sides near and before the visitor center as you are driving into Tybee. It is marked by white lines. The catch is that you have to walk about 5-10 minutes to reach the actual beach, but it will save you money. Otherwise, all parking on Tybee is metered by the hour.
