You get to see the famous wild ponies, just don't feed them and keep your "social distance"! They are wild and they will bite!
Great beach alternative if you’re looking for peace and quiet or maybe you would like to do some fishing.
Locals hit up Assateague when it's time to head to the beach. With some luck, you'll see Assateague's famous wild ponies roaming the area.
There really are wild horses just hanging out on the beach. They walk right by and may even stop to look for food in your cooler. The ocean seems clearer here as well.
Great beach, camping , fishing, wild horses, surfing, boogies boards, life guards

“Home of the Festival of Lights in the wintertime, this is a great place to dog walk, jog, bike, play basketball, fish and crab from the pier, and soak in the sun. Visit it for Sundaes in the Park, live music, free ice cream for the kids!”

“World famous Seacrets! An incredible bar scene- and really good food too. Family friendly during the day, but definitely adults only after 5.”
