There are two piers on the Balboa Peninsula: Newport and Balboa. All are family friendly, though I recommend getting there early to snag an easy parking spot. There are a ton of restaurants near both piers, but there is a Ruby’s Diner on the actual Balboa pier for on the water dining.

Enjoy the fun zone and all the entertainment on the peninsula! Take the ferry over to balboa island.

Watch the sunset from the Pier. Balboa pier and Balboa Pavilion were both constructed in 1906. They are both a short walk from each other and from the beach house. Check them out as they are historic, fun, and beautiful. The pier is a popular fishing spot. The fish caught from the pier consist mostly of mackerel and flounder.
