Great little art district with street vendors on the weekend, local shops, art, food and drinks. Highly recommend checking out the area while you are in town!
This is considered more of an Art's District. It has great local galleries, great food, and an eclectic scene.
NoDa, short for North Davidson, is the city’s arts and entertainment district. It's known for its eclectic galleries and music venues, including the Neighborhood Theatre, host to big-name acts, and intimate spots like the Evening Muse. Artisan gift shops, jewelry stores and tattoo parlors dot North…
Eclectic and unique vibe. Enjoy lunch or a coffee at Smelly Cat Cafe! Local breweries abound as well.
NoDa is the artsy/eclectic neighborhood in Charlotte. Similar to Plaza Midwood, NoDa is known for its unique shops and food offerings, but with more of a musical scene. Heist Brewery has a great quesadilla (not great beer), and can be followed up with a gormet popsicle from pop bar, a drink at the…

“This is another great area only a couple of miles away. It's got numerous bars, restaurants, and breweries. It's also only a few stops from uptown on the lite rail. ”

“Amélie's is French bakery known for its eccentric layout and wildly delicious treats! They've sold over 1 million of their famous salted caramel brownies alone. Their other baked goods are just as noteworthy. From croissants to eclairs, they have it all. Amélie's has been voted Best Bakery, won best dessert 7 out of the last 9 years, and was voted as having the Best Baked Goods 4 out of the last 6 years by Charlotte Magazine. Stop in anytime to enjoy any number of delectable goods from their varied menu. Literally, stop in anytime. They're open 24/7!”

“You can take the train for only $2 and it's 4 stops to uptown (or a quick, 10min drive - but then you have to pay for and find parking which can be painful). This has so many things to do: Freedom Park, Discovery Place, tons of places to eat, overstreet mall with shopping and food. There are also historic markers along the way and tours that can be scheduled. You can visit multiple museums: Mint Museum, Charlotte Museum of History (in Plaza Shamrock - my neighborhood), Levine Museum, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, NASCAR Hall of Fame. So much to do and see! Also the Wells Fargo Museum is free!!”
