The beach here is connected to the campground, generally less crowded than Nye Beach closer to town. While you're across the bridge, swing by Rogue Brewing.

Newport-South Beach is an exposed beach break that has pretty consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. The best wind direction is from the east. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the west. The beach break favours left handers.

Bike rentals - The paved jetty trail provides a perfect place to jog or ride a bicycle. Forgot your bike? The Hospitality Center rents out bikes daily during the summer months.
