The Parkway Theater, is an independent movie theater and home to the Maryland Film Festival located in the Station North Arts District, next to several great restaurants. If you decide to walk to the Arts District, we recommend taking the “scenic route,” which is a little bit longer walk but much nicer. If you look for walking directions on Google Maps, you will see the fastest route involves walking East out North Avenue. This is the non-scenic route, and takes you under Highway 83 which is not very pleasant and can be unsafe in the dark. The second option offered by Google Maps is the more scenic route and takes about 20 minutes: walk down Mt. Royal Avenue and then left up Charles Street.
