This station is not as busy as Clapham Common and the walk there is quieter. If traveling northbound on the Northern Line, I always choose this station.

If you are lucky enough to visit during the 10 weeks in late July - September when the Queen is in Scotland, definitely go to see the State Rooms at the Palace. Otherwise it's the obligatory trip to the Changing of the Guards. Do visit one of the official Palace gift shops dotted around the vicinity. Great presents for people back home or a lovely keepsake from your visit.
Go here for a fun and interesting walk along the Thames. You'll find a used book market, street performers, food trucks and the wonderful South Bank Centre. Continue on to the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and Millennium Bridge. Popular year round.
