This is another one of my favorites that’s in walking distance of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. I love their pulled chicken 🐔 sandwich with 2 extra dill pickles. Their STL bbq sauce is my favorite. It’s sweet and well seasoned.

If you love sushi, I’ll love Sushi Koi. The place is tiny but warm and comfortable. I always get a salmon, avocado roll and miso soup 🥣 (pretty simple).

Ted Drewes is a historic St. Louis landmark with the best frozen custard you won’t find anywhere else. I use to eat too many banana splits from this. The lines are always long but it goes fast and sometimes the lines look long but people are just waiting for their order or socializing. It has 2 locations but the Chippewa location is only closed a couple winter months out the year. Please check their website for details.

This is a historic favorite! I get the chopped sirloin steak dinner with a baked potato. I love when the workers yell “Next” while you wait in line. It’s usually crowded if the Fox Theater across the street has a show, during lunch or on holidays.
