Food scene
I'm not including all restaurants and bars on the island. I am including the ones I visit often. As a visitor, I would recommend these top three choices to take in the Tybee Island food scene and breathtaking views that you want to enjoy on your staycation:
Crabshack,
AJ's Dockside and
Coco's.
Now if you're seeking live music while you eat, you will want to consider any of the choices I stated offered live music. Call in advance to see what time the band starts.
With that said, Tybee has so much to offer for foodies,... you simply can't go wrong!

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED IN ADVANCE. IRONICALLY CLOSED SUNDAYS. Don't let the gas station location fool you! This is my absolute favorite restaurant for food! Best dining experience on the island. It is white table cloth and fine dining pricing, but it’s worth it. The blue cheese crusted filet meal is considered “my last meal”. LOL. Dress is Tybee casual or you can dress up. Tybee casual means flip flops are ok. ;)

The healthiest spot on Tybee! Full of delicious options such as açaí bowls, avo toast, smoothies, pressed juices,... just all so healthy and good! A fave! The mermaid bowl is my fave!

Okay...here me out. You would never think of Wet Willie's like a breakfast spot, but trust me, their eggs benedict and potatoes are amazing! I always get extra hollandaise sauce on the side. It's the only thing I've ever had due to all the local's advice and they are GREAT! I am an eggs benedict snob too.

An iconic breakfast joint on Tybee. Reviews are good: "The Breakfast Club" is a Tybee Island favorite thanks to good food, huge portions and a creative take on traditional breakfast fare". However, I have never been to this spot. So, if you decide to go, please let me know what is good on the menu, so I can try it out.

Back River Beach is my favorite place on Tybee. It's where the locals hang out. Take a cooler with drinks/food and enjoy the sunsets. Location: 18th St. / South Jetty to Back River Fishing Pier, Tybee Island, GA 31328

North Beach Tybee
If you want a convenient place to dine/drink and beach all day. Then, park at Northbeach Grill restaurant and use their boardwalk beach access. Then, you have access to bathrooms, dining, drinks, and beach time in one convenient location.

How to pack for Tybee Island?
All I can say is flip flops! LOL. Seriously, Tybee is the most laid back island. It's the closest island I've experienced to the Key West living vibe. I'm either in flip flops or my Ugg boots!
