Its not really "hiking" .. but it is a great 4 mile round trip walk down the Cape Fear River! Great views and also lots of city access to food, shopping and zen moments along the way.

Crowded in the summer - would actually avoid on the weekends. BUT its beautiful and worth spending time getting lost collecting seashells there :)
