Regretfully, we don’t have private parking, but the North Pier car park is only a short walk away and works out at £9 for 24 hours. There’s free street parking between 6 pm and 9 am and all day Sunday.

Unique two bedroom loft apartment with large open planned lounge area.

The living room is open planned, large and with plenty of light. There is an area with a dining table and two relax areas, one with a large screen TV with Freeview and fibre internet connection. There's an oak office desk with chair for a laptop and a Bluetooth Samsung speaker for your own music connection. Also a corner area with a soft leather sofa and a beautiful swing chair which you won't be able to resist a swing on.

There is an open planned dining area within the living room right next to the kitchen which comfortably seats up to 6 people, using the table extension.

The kitchen is compact, but is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you would expect to find: an electric cooker and oven/grill, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle, etc. There is a full supply of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is a freezer, but due to space limitations it is situated outside the kitchen area in the cupboard next to the computer table.

The bathroom is modern and recently refurbished in white. There's an Aqualisa push button power shower. There is no bath tub. The bathroom has a washing machine and a tumble dryer under the worktop.

There are two bedrooms. One with a UK double bed and the other with a UK king size bed which is 5 feet wide. The double bedroom is small and only has a Velux window, but is right next to the toilet. There is also a second flat screen TV which would be very useful for children especially. There is no aerial connection in that room, but can be used with a media connection of your own like a USB stick. The king size bedroom has more light and large windows. It is the superior room, but it is further away from the toilet.

Beds are supplied with duvets and pillows. One double set and one king size set. One single set, but we don’t make up that fold up bed, sorry. We supply clean bedding free of any additional charge, but you'll have to make the spare bed yourselves. There’s plenty of floor space in the living room for it.
All bed linen will be changed if the duration of your stay exceeds one week free at your request. An initial supply of towels is also provided. They can be washed at any time using the washing machine and tumble dryer in the apartment. There are extra sets of pillows in the bedrooms in plastic bags. If you use, please do not place back in the plastic bags.
The local mini-mart is only 2 minutes away. There is also a Farmfoods store 3 minutes away, whilst the biggest supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and the M and S Foodhall) are at the other end of town, about a 10 minutes walk away.
A hair dryer is provided along with an ironing board and iron.
The flat is good for individual families or small groups touring or having holidays together.
There is no safety gate at the top of the stairs, so please bear this in mind if you have toddlers.
We don’t accept pets, sorry. Also, of course no smoking in any part of the apartment.
Please remember that there are two separate flights stairs up to the apartment.

Location:
Coming from Glasgow, turn left at the roundabout as you enter Oban, go along the one way system until you see Coast Restaurant. 11 John Street is located in the side lane to the left of Coast (cars cannot enter street). Best park as close to Coast as possible or on the esplanade at the bottom of John Street.

The whole apartment. The flat is situated above a two storey shop, open 10 am until 4.30 pm. The access stairs to the apartment act as fire stairs for the shop also, so is commercial looking.

On street parking is free between 6 pm and 9 am, so you can pay £2.40 to park between 6 pm and 11 am. Even in the middle of summer there will be spaces on the esplanade after 6 pm. The esplanade is half a minute's walk down from 11 John Street. Put £2.40 in the parking meter after 6 pm and it will give you until 11 am on the ticket. Paid parking options are at the North Pier which is just a few mins away.
The flat is approached by two straight flights of concrete stairs which are quite steep. The first flight acts as fire stairs for the shop also, so is a little commercial looking.

The area is very comfortable for 4 adults. It sleeps up to 5 adults, but please remember that there is one power shower. There will no doubt be waits for hot water. The guest bed is a single fold up bed. The big leather couch may be a more comfortable alternative.

Any smoke in the kitchen will trigger the smoke detector between the kitchen and toilet on the ceiling. If that happens, just press the button to stop the alarm.

I'll give you lots of handy tips of things to do in a folder in the apartment and I can email them prior to your arrival if requested. I work at sea as a diver fisherman most days, but I am always on hand to help you in any way possible by phone, text or through the Airbnb app. I am always delighted to meet my guests, but sometimes it is difficult with our 24 hour check in offered and guests always underestimate the time taken from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Oban!

There's a wealth of cafes, bars, restaurants and shopping just moments away from the apartment. The excellent Coast restaurant is 5 seconds away from the front door and a vegan and vegetarian restaurant and coffee shop right below
