You reside alone in the former hunter's house of Hanau-Lichtenberg county, a remarkably beautiful half-timbered building from 1721. The main and auxiliary buildings are under monument protection and on a 4415 square meter property. The main house has been modernized while largely preserving its historical character. You can already use a luxurious kitchen, comfortable bathrooms, a billiard room, a games room with library, WiFi and TV. Further rooms and furnishings will follow from 2022.

According to the Rhineland-Palatinate perspective plan presented by Malu Dreyer on May 11th, the former hunter's house in Eppenbrunn can be visited by holiday guests from May 12th without restrictions, as the incidence in the district of Southwest Palatinate (Südwestpfalz) is currently around 70.

In the former hunter's house in Eppenbrunn you can enjoy a special lifestyle during your vacation as a family or group: close to nature, spacious and comfortable to luxurious in historical rooms from the late baroque. Your private holiday residence is also an ideal starting point for exciting explorations on foot, by bike, motorcycle or car in the Palatinate Forest-Vosges du Nord biosphere reserve and beyond.
We are able to offer this exciting historic property as a holiday home for the first time in 2021, after we acquired it in 2020 and redesigned it accordingly by the end of March 2021. You live in mostly newly renovated and newly furnished 250 square meters, 180 square meters of which on the Bel Étage on the upper floor and 70 square meters on the ground floor. (On the ground floor, further bedrooms and communal areas are expected to be set up on an additional 100 square meters from 2022. The associated renovations will only be carried out outside of occupancy times.)
The furnishings in the living rooms in the main house consist of original individual items (wardrobes, tables, mirrors) from the 17th and 18th centuries (late Renaissance to Baroque), modern built-in furniture made of solid wood (playroom with library, large bedroom) and designer furniture. Contemporary art already adorns individual walls - but there is still potential for expansion here.
In addition to the central heating, there are two modern stoves and firewood. There is a large bedroom for up to four people, a bedroom for two people and a sofa bed for two people in the playroom with library. There you will also find a collection of high-quality wooden toys and literature for children between the ages of around 2 and 10 years.
The property has a beautifully landscaped, somewhat overgrown garden with a patio, a meadow with a fireplace (including tripod, grill and kettle) and a wooded area with old trees (including chestnut trees). It lies on a slight south-facing slope, is bordered in the south and south-east by up to 3m high old sandstone walls and is otherwise fenced. Next to the entrance on the southeast side there is a great sequoia tree.
There are 4 parking spaces in front of the auxiliary building and at the main building. You can also park motorbikes or mobile homes here. You can park bicycles in the auxiliary building.
In the very well-equipped kitchen you will also find cookbooks for the fireplace, paprika for goulash as well as a range of local wines and specialties.

Your holiday residence is directly adjacent to the center of Eppenbrunn with various gastronomic offers (wine bistro, "Sängerklause", hotel-restaurants, pizzeria) and shopping facilities for everyday items (bakery, kiosk, gas station, mobile butcher). A supermarket (EDEKA) is 7.5 km away in Kröppen.
