Our beautiful 19th century house is a 3 guest room B&B located in the picturesque village of Rowsley in the Peak District. We are just 3 miles from Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell and a pub and two restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Rowsley also has a working mill-museum and craft centre as well as the Peak Shopping Village. Off street parking & a full English or vegetarian breakfast are included in the price. We have recently been certified as Covid-19 prepared by Visit England.

Our lovely house was built in 1850 by Joseph Paxton who went on to design the famous Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition the following year. We have decorated in keeping with the age of the property and the house is full of local artwork with antique furniture in the guest lounge. It also the perfect location for exploring the Peak District National Park and we provide a wealth of information on the local area to help guests make the most of their stay. An information folder in each guest room has step-by-step guides for local walks and there are plenty of guide books and walking maps to borrow in our guest lounge. The Old Station House is also our home so we are always on hand to answer any questions and give helpful advice...

Guest have their own bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite shower room. There are tea/coffee making facilities and a TV/DVD player in the room, which also has excellent WiFi. Guests also have access to the guest lounge / dining room which has a DVD collection as well as a library of information, maps and guidebooks on the local area. Guests are given a key to the front door when they arrive and can come and go as they like during their stay. Off street parking is available free of charge.

We live on the premises and are available to offer help and advice to guests when needed. Each room has an information folder which includes places to eat nearby, details of local walks and places of interest in the area.

Check-in is between 4.30 and 6pm and check-out is 10am. There is a village pub less than five minutes walk away which serves reasonably priced evening meals and there are also two restaurants in the village attached to country house hotels that are open to non-residents. We have recently been awarded Visit England's Good to Go certification to show that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
